This unit on Factoring focuses on breaking down polynomials into their simplest forms to solve equations and understand their properties more deeply. This unit introduces students to various factoring techniques, including factoring out the greatest common factor (GCF), using the difference of squares, and factoring trinomials into binomials. Special attention is given to recognizing patterns that facilitate the factoring process, as well as applying the Zero Product Property to solve polynomial equations.
